Harry Potter and Shelfari

Deathlyhallows_2

I am sort of in limbo right now as I am right in the middle of Harry Potter. I so don't want anyone to spoil it for me. I am not a kid who can sit for twelve hours straight and read right through it like my cousin's daughter or my own daughter and her friends. I do have four kids who need rides here and there, need some clean laundry, food and a hug and kiss good night. I had to pry myself away from the book last night to say good night. I am deeply immersed in the story.

It is one of those kid stories that I think is much more than a kid story like my all time favorite Because of Winn DixieWinndixie_2. They just go deeper than your average story, to me they are more like tales. Obviously, I'm not alone, at least on Harry. It was the biggest one day sale of a book ever. So until I finish don't ruin it for me, I'll try not to do the same for you.

Next I have discovered something else to interest me. It is a site called Shelfari. It is a book lovers paradise, a great place to talk about the books you've read and discuss them with others. I recommend a visit there but beware you may get stuck for a while, if you love books that is. I realized that it's cutting into my reading time so I'm in a quandary as what to do. For now though I'm going back to the Deathly Hallows.

I am also a Shelfari member and was wondering if you are participating in the Harry Potter contest? http://www.shelfari.com/harrypotter/
Grand Prize looks really tempting. Add me as a friend "schaufferwaffer". Any good book recommendations?

Hi Jelly,

I tried cutting and pasting your name in at Shelfari and came up with a young man in Seattle.??

Hi Mimi,

I think the first comment must be from the 'young man in Seattle'? - signed Danny. In any case, 'twas not me... I must confess I have not read a single Harry Potter book. I have just never been tempted, but I'm sure if I read one, I would get hooked like so many others!

I am about to ferret around on your blog until I find that pizza base recipe of yours - the kids and I are on our own this weekend, and plan to make your wonderful dough, top the pizzas messily, cook and devour! Thanks again for sharing your recipe :)
